On Friday, March 8, ten students from Italy, France, and the United States will conclude their studies in Pollenzo and present their theses.

Here are their names and thesis titles.

Master's Degree in Food Innovation & Management

Ava Catherine Downing, 26, from Marietta (USA), will defend her thesis titled: "A Historical Analysis of African American Foodways in South Carolina", supervised by Prof. Gabriele Proglio.

Undergraduate Degree in Gastronomic Sciences

Maria Eduarda Bastos, 33, from Milan, will defend her thesis titled: "The Growth of Sparkling Wine Production in the UK Due to Climate Change", supervised by Prof. Nicola Perullo.

Nicoletta Barbero Margaria Bonada, 23, from Cuneo, will defend her thesis titled: "Botanical Gardens: a utopian reality to be valorized", supervised by Prof. Roberta Cevasco.

Stefano Ciavarella, 23, from Moncalieri (Turin), will defend his thesis titled: "Waldensian gastronomy: a historical-ethnobiological analysis of the raw materials used in the 'Waldensian Valleys' from the 1800s to today", supervised by Prof. Andrea Pieroni.

Federico Elia, 23, from Santena (Turin), will defend his thesis titled: "Se la Langa è così: economic, social, tourism and sustainable development respecting the territory", supervised by Prof. Paolo Corvo.

Anna Ferrero, 21, from Nice (France), will defend her thesis titled: "From farm to screen: stories of graftings. A qualitative study on the representation of Piedmontese agri-food realities in documentary film over the last decade", supervised by Prof. Luca Antoniazzi.

Emma Ferri, 22, from London, will defend her thesis titled: "The Role of Aquaculture in the Canary Islands as a Food Source for the EU", supervised by Prof. Gabriele Volpato.

Alberto Sean Marone Cinzano, 32, from Montalcino (Siena), will defend his thesis titled: "Application of apple pomace in brewing and its impact on sensory properties of beer", supervised by Prof. Luisa Torri.

Lucrezia Marotta, 23, from Naples, will defend her thesis titled: "Nutritional transition vs. tradition in the lands of longevity: Maintaining longevity through the preservation of food traditions," supervised by Prof. Andrea Pezzana.

Anna Zambon, 22, from Padua, will defend her thesis titled: "The Right to Water: a case of Conflict between Agribusiness and local communities in Chile," supervised by Prof. Lorenzo Bairati.
