Individual Participant Registration Lil Sluggers Youth Baseball and Outdoor Soccer

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will offer individual registrations for the following youth leagues: Lil' Sluggers T-ball/coach pitch and outdoor soccer.

There will be three age divisions offered to all genders between the ages of 4 and 10. Scheduled games for both leagues will be played on different days, so there will be no conflicts regarding league play.

Proof of age, or a *Parks & Recreation Activity ID Card is required to register. Registration fee for new participants is $45 per individual - with a jersey - or $35 for returning players, that will not include a jersey.

League play for Lil' Sluggers begins the week of May 15, 2023, and June 3, 2023, for outdoor soccer. Space is limited in all divisions, and registration is first come, first served.

Online Pre-Registration - In an effort to improve online registration efficiency, it is highly recommended that registrants meet with a Recreation Services Coordinator at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., from March 13 to March 27 to have a brief tutorial on how to register online, and to ensure account/login information is accurate.

Outdoor Soccer - Individual ONLINE Registration:
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023 (or until online capacity is met)

• Formation of teams is the discretion of Meerscheidt staff.
• Requesting placement onto specific teams will not be allowed. Siblings in the same householdmay be placed on the same team ONLY if they qualify for the same age divisionand sibling notification is recorded by Meerscheidt staff duringregistration.
• Switching teams will not be allowed once teams have been formed and assigned to coaches.

*Parks & Recreation Activity ID Card: To obtain a card, parent (guardian) and child, must appear in person at Meerscheidt Recreation Center to fill out the permission form, provide proof of age (a birth certificate), and have the child's photo taken. Activity ID Cards can be obtained between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Cards will notbe issued on registration dates.
