Memorial Day Ceremony May 27
A St. Charles County Marine killed in the line of duty will be among those honored at the County's Memorial Day ceremony.
Sgt. Colin Arslanbas, with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, died April 18 during a nighttime training exercise near the Camp Lejeune base.
His name will be added to the memorial wall at Veterans Tribute Park.
Arslanbas was a graduate of Fort Zumwalt West High School.
The event will include patriotic music from a live band, the rifle crack of a 21-gun salute, and a solemn reading of the names of departed veterans.
Everyone is invited to come and show their support. It takes place rain or shine at Veterans Tribute Park at 1031 Kisker Road, on Monday, May 27 at 1 p.m.
