MLGW crews work on restoration efforts through the night
April 1, 2023
(April 1, 2023 - 6 p.m.) Following last night's storms, a total of 40,000 unique customers have been affected by power outages. The peak number out any one time was 36,613. We have restored power to more than 30,000 customers and 9,622 remain without power.

The biggest concentration of outages is in the East Memphis and in the American Way and Getwell neighborhoods. This is where physical damage was concentrated.

Our focus the remainder of this evening and overnight will be to tackle the largest and most severely damaged components of our electrical distribution and transmission system. Contract crews have joined this effort.

By tomorrow, we expect to complete repairs to the electrical and transmission system and move on to neighborhood-level and individual customer outages.

We are thankful for our crews who are working hard to make repairs, and for our customers for their patience. We appreciate everyone's partnership and patience during this recovery.
