On April 15, 2024, State Police of Saratoga arrested Elizabeth N. Burns, 29, of Grover, NC, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

On April 15, 2024, at about 3:32 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Saratoga Springs, NY for multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Burns. Further investigation revealed that Burns was illegally in possession of a loaded handgun and a controlled substance. The driver was issued tickets for the Vehicle and Traffic law violations and released.

Burns was arrested and transported to SP Saratoga for processing. She was arraigned at the Malta Town Court and released to pre-trial services under the supervision of the Saratoga County Probation Department. Burns is scheduled to appear at the City of Saratoga Springs Court on April 16, 2024 for further proceedings.
