The SheBelieves Cup is part of U.S. Soccer's SheBelieves initiative to inspire and empower women and girls to achieve their goals in sport and beyond. The tournament was first played in 2016. The USA won the inaugural edition and France took top honors in 2017. The USA won again in 2018, and England finished first in 2019, but the USA returned to the top of the podium in 2020, and took top honors in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
TNT Sports will debut a new magazine-style show - U.S Soccer Stories - on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m. The half hour series - airing regularly on truTV and Max and hosted by Ortiz - will profile elite players and personalities of U.S. Soccer including Men's and Women's national team members, youth national teams and extended national teams including beach soccer, power soccer, futsal, CP and deaf national teams.
The originally-produced U.S. Soccer Stories series is part of the new "TNT Sports on truTV" programming lineup - a consistent slate of content regularly televised weeknights from 6 p.m.-late night ET. The recently launched primetime programming window consists of live sports, original sports shows and ancillary sports content.
TNT Sports and the U.S. Soccer Federation are in the second of an eight-year multimedia rights agreement which made TNT Sports' networks and platforms the exclusive English-language home to more than 20 Women's and Men's National Team matches every year. As the full broadcasting schedule is finalized, TNT Sports and U.S. Soccer will share the updated programming information as soon as possible.
In addition, Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, B/R Football, and HighlightHER will provide content to fans throughout the year, elevating the profile of the players and their stories with fans.
