Hansard helps the Children's Centre at their community farm

Some of our employees recently visited the Children's Centre's Community Farm on the Isle of Man, which is a hub for the excellent work that they do. The Children's Centre is a Manx charity that offers a safe space for children who may be struggling in school for a variety of reasons, or who are impacted by a disability, addiction, poverty or domestic abuse. The farm offers a variety of different outlets for these children to address behavioural, learning, emotional or wellbeing needs, including art therapy, gardening, woodwork, metalwork, animal husbandry etc.

We visited the farm to help with the continuation of building the boardwalk, and the flooring within the traditional roundhouse. Once complete, the roundhouse will be used as a space the practitioners can use to support children, as well as a space that can hopefully be hired out to raise vital funds for the charity.
