Board to Consider Freedom Road Contributions

As one of Cranberry's major corridors, Freedom Road has been an area of focus for decades.

The most recent project expanding the roadway from Commonwealth Drive to Haine School Road is nearing its final stages, with the next phase featuring similar work from Haine School Road to Powell Road. Both projects were funded through (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) grants and partnerships with Butler County and PennDOT.

On Feb. 2, the Board of Supervisors will finalize the Township's commitment to a portion of matching funds via these partnerships.

Work on the second phase of work is set to begin this year.
