Early closure of Cinder Lake Landfill on May 22

In observance of National Public Works Week and in recognition of the City's essential and core services workers, the Recycling Transfer Facility (1800 E Butler Ave), Cinder Lake Landfill and Hazardous Products Center (6770 E Landfill Rd) will be closing at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. A public works appreciation event will be held for City staff during this time.

The City's solid waste collections team will deploy all qualified operators during this day in an attempt to complete all regularly scheduled collection routes by 10:30 a.m. As usual, the City asks that all residents place their carts at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. the morning of their regularly scheduled service.

The Recycling Transfer Facility, Cinder Lake Landfill, Hazardous Products Center, and solid waste and recycling collection services will resume normal hours of operations on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
