Service Advisory for Army Ten-Miler on Sunday, Oct. 8

For immediate release: October 5, 2023

Metro is running regular rail service for the Army Ten-Miler this Sunday, Oct. 8. Some bus routes will be detoured between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. because of the racecourse. More race-specific transportation information is available on the Army Ten-Miler website.

For those picking up race packets at the DC Armory on Saturday, we are running a single track that will impact travel to Stadium Armory, with 20-minute headways on the Blue and Orange Lines. Service Details

Metrorail Trains are running normal Sunday service on all lines, except the Red Line runs two minutes faster with trains every six minutes. Stations in the core of the system with overlapping lines will see service about every 3-4 minutes. Service begins at 7 a.m. and concludes at midnight.

Metrobus Advisory in effect 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Routes 7A, 10A, 16A, 16C, 16E, 22A, 32, 33, 36, 38B, 42, 43, 52, 70, 74, 79, P6, S2 will detour.
Pentagon Transit Center will be closed. Routes will temporarily begin and end service at Pentagon City Station.
The following routes will detour:
  • 7A Landmark-North Fairlington: Buses will operate between Van Dorn St and a bus stop located on 12th St and S Hayes St at Pentagon City Station.
  • 10A Landmark-North Fairlington: Buses will operate between Pentagon City Station (stop ID # 6001409) and Huntington Station.
  • 16A,16C Columbia Pike: Buses will operate between Pentagon City Station (stop ID # 6001409) and Annandale/Culmore.
  • 16E Columbia Pike: Buses will operate between a temporary bus stop at Army Navy Dr between S. Fern St & S. Eads St and Culmore.
  • 22A Barcroft-South Fairlington: Buses will operate between Pentagon City Station (stop ID # 6001409) and Ballston Station.
  • 32, 36 Pennsylvania Avenue eastbound to Naylor Rd Station | Southern Ave Station: Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave NW at 11th St, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Ave SE at 4th St.
  • 32, 36 Pennsylvania Avenue westbound to Potomac Park: Buses begin detouring on Pennsylvania Ave SE at 6th St, resuming regular route on Pennsylvania Avenue NW at 9th St.
  • 33 Wisconsin Avenue: Buses will operate between a bus stop located on F St NW at 13th St (stop ID # 10001049) and Friendship Heights Station.
  • 38B Ballston-Farragut Square: Buses will operate between Rosslyn (stop ID#6001346) and Ballston.
  • 42,43 Mount Pleasant: Buses will operate between a bus stop located on 17th St NW at K St (stop ID # 1001212) and Mt. Pleasant.
  • 52 14th Street: Buses will operate between a stop located on 12th St NW and F St (stop ID # 1001051) and 14th St NW at Colorado Ave.
  • 64 Fort Totten - Federal Triangle: Buses will operate between a stop located on 13th St NW and F St (stop ID # 1001054) and Fort Totten Station.
  • 70, 79 Georgia Avenue-7th Street: Buses will operate between a stop located on 7th St NW and F St (stop ID # 1003417) and Silver Spring Transit Center.
  • 74 Georgia Avenue-7th Street northbound to Convention Center: Buses begin detouring on 7th St SW at e/b SE Freeway, resuming regular route on 7th St NW at E St.
  • 74 Georgia Avenue-7th Street southbound to Buzzard Point: Buses begin detouring on 7th St NW at E St, resuming regular route on Exit Roadway to 7th St SW at 7th St.
  • P6 Anacostia - Eckington northbound to Rhode Island Avenue Station: Buses begin detouring on I St SW at 4th St, resuming regular route on E St NW at 11th St.
  • P6 Anacostia - Eckington southbound to Anacostia Station: Buses begin detouring on 11th St NW at E St, resuming regular route at 7th St NW at I St.
  • S2 16th Street: Buses will operate between a stop located on 13th St NW and G St (stop ID # 1001073) and Silver Spring Transit Center.

  • I-395 HOV (NB) to the Eads Street ramp Long Bridge Drive

  • Constitution Avenue NW between 23rd and 18th Streets
  • Virginia Avenue NW (all lanes)

  • Independence Avenue, SW (westbound lanes) from 14th Street to 7th Street

  • 14th Street, South I-395 HOV (northbound)
