Traffic Fatality #7/2024, Gardiner Expressway West of the Humber River

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at approximately 10:06 p.m., police responded to a call for a pedestrian struck on the westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway west of the Humber River.

It is reported that:

• a pedestrian was crossing the highway from the north side to the south side
• he was struck by a black BMW in the left lane
• the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, business and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
