Council Connection for Jan. 18

At the Tuesday, Jan. 18 In-Person Regular Meeting in the Community Center, Councilmembers appointed members to the Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) and Transportation Policy Council (TPC). Here is a rundown of all Council actions at the meeting:

Consent Agenda

  • Approved the minutes of the special and regular City Council meetings of Jan. 3, 2022.

Public Hearings & Related Actions

  • Zoning Public Hearings & Ordinances
    • Held a public hearing to receive comments for or against rezoning a 6.69-acre tract of land from LC-2 local retail district to CF community facilities district; amending the comprehensive plan; providing a penalty. The subject site is located north of Court Road and the Bradford Village residential subdivision; south of the Quail Green West residential subdivision; east of Columbia Blue Drive and the Fort Bend Independent School District Glover Elementary School, and west of Texas Parkway and the Wells Fargo professional offices. The ordinance was approved on the first of two readings.

Appointments

  • Appointed members to the Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC).
  • Appointed members to the Houston Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) Transportation Policy Council (TPC).

Resolutions

  • Approved a resolution to apply for and accept funding from a HGAC General Victim Assistance Grant (VOCA).
