MOD Seva Vanitha Unit presents dry ration packs to employees

The Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) presented dry ration packs to civil minor staff members as an incentive for this festive season at the Ministry today (Apr 9).

Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne graced the event and handed over dry ration packs to beneficiaries in the presence of the Chairperson of the MOD SVU Mrs. Chithrani Gunaratne.

Accordingly, more than 200 civil minor staff employees serving in the Ministry including drivers, office assistants, janitors and others were presented with valuable dry ration packs as an incentive for this festive season.

Additional Secretary (Administration) Mr. Gaminie Mahagamage, Additional Secretary (Parliament Affairs and Policy) Mrs. Indika Wijegunawardana, Chief Financial Officer Mrs. Deepika Buddadasa, Military Liaison Officer Major General Dhammika Welagedara, Senior Ministry officials and members of the SVU were also present at the occasion.
