CLEVELAND -- University Hospitals (UH) Connor Integrative Health Network has signed an agreement with the New York Chiropractic College
(NYCC) located in Seneca Falls, New York, to serve as a training site for final year chiropractic interns. As part of the training, interns will take part in a three-month preceptorship, a clinical program in which chiropractic students will serve as interns under the direct supervision of a preceptor, who is an Ohio licensed chiropractic physician. 'We are excited to partner with NYCC -- a leading educational institution for complementary, integrative and natural healthcare professionals - in the training of the next generation of chiropractic physicians,' said David Vincent, DC, Lead Chiropractor with UH Connor Integrative Health Network (CIHN). 'Having a recognized leader in integrative health education like NYCC choose the UH Connor network as a training site demonstrates the stature we have built in the region for providing positive outcomes for the numerous patients who seek our evidence-based treatment therapies.'
Sarah Prosak, DC, a CIHN chiropractic physician and NYCC adjunct professor located in Rocky River, Ohio, will be charged with supervising and mentoring the chiropractic interns.
The Ohio Chiropractic Board offers an intern license which is required prior to participating in an Ohio board-approved preceptorship. The first interns are anticipated to start in the Fall of 2019.
