Akakus Oil Operations.... WATER TANKS PROJECT FOR AOO EL – SHARARA CCX FACILITIES

Preambles:

Akakus Oil Operations (formerly Repsol Oil Operations) is a Libyan Oil Company with its head office in Tripoli, Libya. Akakus Oil Operations (AOO) is the operator of two (2) concessions in the Sahara Desert namely NC - 115 and NC - 186 (El - Sharara Fields), located approx. 1070 km south of Tripoli town in the Ubari region.

AOO is seeking for local and foreign Contractors who are capable and having proven experience and expertise in the Engineering and Construction / Erection of Water Tanks (bolted type) and which are required for AOO El - Sharara CCX Facilities located near concession NC - 115.

AOO hereby invites Contractors specialized in the field of Engineering and Construction / Erection of Bolted Type Water Tanks (vertical cylindrical tanks) and which are interested in participating in this Pre-qualification Campaign to obtain the Pre-qualification Questionnaire attached with this announcement.

Important Note:

This Pre-qualification Invitation is NOT a Request for Tender / Request for Quotation, NOR Purchase Requisition NOR an Official Order or Contract Agreement and there is no commitment or obligation, implied or otherwise, for AOO to enter into a Contract with the recipient of this Prequalification Invitation / Questionnaire. Preparation and submission of the Prequalification Questionnaire Package by the recipient does not construe or imply any commitment to any party or entitle any party to any indemnity or any form of payment by AOO.

Following receipt of this Prequalification Questionnaire by any recipient, AOO reserves the right to recall the same and to waive formalities as the interests of AOO may require without stating reasons, therefore.

Qualification Requirements:

Interested Contractors must fulfill the requirements stated in the Pre-qualification Questionnaire and shall submit the required information accordingly.

Following AOO internal procedures for Contractors' Prequalification, only the Contractors fulfilling the Prequalification Criteria and which shall be determined by Akakus Oil Operations at its sole discretion, will be included in the Bidders List and invited for further participation in the Tendering Campaign.

Akakus Oil Operations reserve its right to reject any and / or all Contractor at its sole discretion. Such act by Akakus shall be final and shall not be contested or challenged by any participant.

Participation / Submission of Prequalification Documents Package:

As mentioned in Preambles above, this Prequalification Announcement is only addressed to specialized local and foreign Contractors having extensive experience / are specialized in the filed of Engineering and Construction / Erection of Bolted Type Tanks and will remain posted on the NOC and AOO websites along with the Prequalification Questionnaire for a limited period of (21) twenty-one calendar days starting from date of announcement. During this period, the recipient of the Prequalification Questionnaire shall obtain and prepare / submit the Prequalification Package to AOO Bid Committee address mentioned in Item ''B'' further below.

Any Prequalification Document submitted after the set period will not be considered and AOO has the right to disregard such submissions.

The intention to participation along with the required documents shall be submitted to AOO Secretary of Bid Committee at Bid Committee Office at AOO Tripoli Headquarters.

Contractors' Prequalification Documents Package shall be prepared and include all the required information stated in the Prequalification Questionnaire Document and may be submitted as follows:

1. Hard Copy File: In (1) one original Hard Copy in box file c/w dividers and (1) one electronic copy (CD or USB flash drive). The documents shall be submitted in a sealed envelop prior to the mentioned deadline and in AOO Bid Committee address mentioned in Item ''B'' below.
