The cities of Webster Groves and St. Louis, along with St. Louis County, recently declared "Dr. Beth Stroble" days for their communities. The day was celebrated on Friday, Jan. 19 in Webster Groves, Thursday, Jan. 11 in St. Louis City and Friday, Jan. 12 in St. Louis County.

Chancellor Stroble was presented with proclamations from all three municipalities during a special dinner hosted by the Webster Board of Trustees earlier this month. Representatives of community organizations and longstanding partners also attended the dinner.

"I am grateful for the support that Webster's mission and values have received from so many community partners and organizations. The recognition in the form of proclamations and official days is meaningful to me and a reflection of the regard for Webster. I thank Mayor Laura Arnold, Mayor Tishaura Jones and County Executive Sam Page for the recognition," Stroble said.

During the dinner, those present listed Stroble's contributions to the community, her service on multiple non-profit agency boards, her advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as her unwavering support for education as the reason for declaring the days. Besides the printed proclamations, Webster Groves also announced the day on the city's billboard in front of City Hall. On behalf of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, President Michael McMillan announced the creation of a scholarship in Stroble's name.
