Chairman Robert Aderholt and Members of the House Values Action Team Send Letter to Chairman Cole and Ranking Member DeLauro Regarding Fiscal Year 2025 Funding Legislation

WASHINGTON - Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04), Chairman of the House Values Action Team (VAT), and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, sent a joint letter with other members of VAT to Appropriations Committee Chairman Tom Cole and Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro on Thursday.

The Members, who are listed below, call for a prioritization of funding legislation in Fiscal Year 2025 that respects the rights of conscience, protects the vulnerable, and promotes fairness and equality.

With this letter, Chairman Aderholt reaffirms the commitment he made when he became Chairman of the House Values Action Team:

"When I became VAT Chair for the 118th Congress, I committed to working on rebuilding our communities by advancing an agenda that protects the rights of individuals, parents, and families. The letter my colleagues and I sent to Chairman Cole and Ranking Member DeLauro shows our commitment to this goal. The priorities we laid out will protect life, end predatory activity in the world of technology, and defund programs that further division in our society. We want all Americans to enjoy unlimited opportunity and feel secure in exercising their fundamental rights. We hope the priorities we put forward will be considered in any Fiscal Year 2025 funding legislation."
