Contribute to techUK's Productivity & Automation insight series!

techUK's excited to announce that we're now seeking contributions for an upcoming insight series exploring the future of productivity and automation.

Representatives of member organisations and wider stakeholders have the opportunity to submit a blog or vlog exploring how technologies are shaping, enabling or transforming the areas of productivity and/or automation.

Contributions will go live on 28 April and be featured on techUK's flagship Innovation Hub, in our monthly Tech & Innovation newsletter, and via our social channels (LinkedIn & X).

You can find the contribution guidelines below.

Contribution guidelines

All submissions must be of broad relevance to the UK's technology sector (rather than a sales pitch or case study format) and be accompanied by an author headshot, brief biography, and the logo(s) of your organisation.

Blogs must contain between 600 and 1000 words. They can include links, images, infographics and videos.

Vlogs must be between 3 and 6 minutes in duration, be submitted with a short title (10 words max) and intro text, and take the form of a YouTube link or MP4 file. Email us your video through https://wetransfer.com/ (instructions here). You can find an example vlog here.

Please email your submission to [email protected] by 14 April.

This will then go live on 28 April, subject to the disclaimer below.

Disclaimer: Maximum of one submission per organisation. Priority will be given to techUK member organisations and Government stakeholders over non-members. techUK reserves the right to decide whether or not a blog or vlog is published and contributing factors include the degree of alignment with the contribution guidelines, total number of submissions received, and balance between member and non-member contributions.

techUK's Robotics & Automation sprint campaign

This insight series is part of techUK's Robotics & Automation sprint campaign, a six-month programme of activity which aims to identify the key Robotics & Automation technologies of the future, explore how they'll be developed, applied and commercialised, and make recommendations regarding how the UK can lead on them moving forward.

Activity will include panel discussions, workshops, roundtables, networking sessions (such as our sector meet-up event on 25 Feb), blogs/vlogs, and tech demos.

The sprint campaign will culminate in a report (much like techUK's recent Gaming & Esports report), to be launched in Q4 2025, setting out the themes explored during the campaign and featuring member / stakeholder case studies and practical recommendations for industry / Government. This report will aim to advance the sector and begin to address the main challenges and opportunities that have emerged during the campaign.
