Emergency pole replacement on Komo Mai Drive, 9/20 & 9/21

HONOLULU, Sept. 18, 2023 - Hawaiian Electric crews and contractors will be doing emergency work to replace a pole and related equipment on Komo Mai Drive in Pearl City, impacting traffic in the area on Wednesday, Sept. 20, and Thursday, Sept. 21.
The work to improve system reliability will close a section of the far-right eastbound lane of Komo Mai Drive fronting Trinity United Methodist Church and approaching Waimano Home Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
Safety signs and traffic cones will mark the work zones, while special duty police and flagmen will direct traffic. Motorists are advised to drive with caution when approaching and passing the work zone, expect minor traffic delays or use alternate routes when possible.
