On October 13, the deputy of the RA NA With Honor Faction Taguhi Tovmasyan, Lusine Gharakhanyan and the Chair of GOY Humanitarian Foundation Board Azatoohi Simonian met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland John Gallagher.

Issues regarding the security challenges of Armenia, the ethnic cleansing committed in Nagorno Karabakh and its consequences were discussed.

Taguhi Tobmasyan underscored that the issue of the execution of the right to self-determination of the people of Nagorno Karabakh and its international recognition, as it has been repeatedly mentioned, has no alternative and asked the Ambassador to take practical steps for making the matter audible on the international platforms. The MP noted that after the forcible displacement of the people from Nagorno Karabakh, among other urgent issues, it became necessary to boost the adaptation of the Artsakh Armenians in Armenia, to provide them with job, as well as preserve the cultural values of Nagorno Karabakh.

"The President of Nagorno Karabakh signed the document on dissolution of the country under pressure, and we know that the document signed under pressure has no legality. One day we should return to our homeland," Taguhi Tovmasyan said.

The officials of Nagorno Karabakh mentioned that Azerbaijan committed genocide in Nagorno Karabakh, underlining that the international community should put pressure on Azerbaijan, not let it to destroy the cultural values.

The Ambassador John Gallagher noted that the United Kingdom is always next to Armenia. He highlighted the necessity of solving the humanitarian problems of the forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh.
