Students in the Environmental Education program in the Department of Environmental Conservation invite the UMass Amherst community to visit their "Insect Allies: Bring Back the Bugs" information tables at the Amherst Farmer's Market on Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Amherst Common.<_o3a_p>
Graduate and undergraduates in NRC 520, under the direction of senior lecturer Britt Crow-Miller, will have a section with materials and fun activities to raise awareness of their mission "to inspire curiosity about and connection with bugs as a means toward community metamorphosis." <_o3a_p>
"We are hoping that people will learn about the various ways that bugs support us and how we can support bugs," said graduate student Cassidy Hemmecker. <_o3a_p>
