Plattsburgh male arrested for criminal contempt 1st

On May 9, 2024, State Police members arrested Martin D. Drown, 78, of Plattsburgh, NY for criminal contempt 1st, and aggravated family offense.

On May 9, 2024, at approximately 7:26, Troopers were informed of an order of protection violation that occurred on May 3, 2024, at T.J. MAXX located on Consumer Square in the town of Plattsburgh. An investigation determined Drown approached the victim in the parking lot, refusing to let the victim leave by putting his foot in front of the door of the vehicle. Drown grabbed the victim's shirt and asked the victim to get out of the vehicle. Drown was attempting to talk and see the victim knowing there was a stay-away order of protection in place.

Drown was arrested and processed at SP Plattsburgh. He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
