The Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Americas Group II event in La Paz, Bolivia, due to take place from 16-19 June 2021, will be rescheduled to later dates in 2021.
In light of the current situation relating to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bolivia, the Billie Jean King Cup Committee has taken the decision to delay the event until later this year.
Further details on the rescheduled event will be released in due course.
The hosts are one of eight nations bidding for promotion from Americas II Event B to Americas Group I, alongside Barbados, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Trinidad & Tobago.
Americas II Event A, set to be held in Panama City from 23-26 June 2021 and featuring Bahamas, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Panama and Uruguay, is still scheduled to go ahead as planned.
Two nations will be promoted to Americas Group I in 2022 - one from Event A, one from Event B.
