Dairyland Power and Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative Support Career Skills Day at Polk County Fairgrounds

Dairyland Power Cooperative, in collaboration with Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative, presented a check at Career Skills Day at the Polk County Fairgrounds on May 1. This donation demonstrates the cooperatives' ongoing commitment to supporting the communities they serve through the Cooperative Contributions Program.

The $1,000 donation reflects the shared values of Dairyland Power and Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative by supporting education and training for the next generation of employees and leaders. Career Skills Day provides more than 800 8-12 grade students the opportunity to explore various career opportunities. Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative showcases careers in the energy industry at the event.

"Dairyland and our member cooperatives rely on skilled lineworkers, engineers, and various other STEM/Trade careers for safe and reliable operations," said Dairyland President and CEO Brent Ridge. "By supporting opportunities for learning and development, we are helping ensure a bright future for our youth, our communities and our shared energy future."

Through the Cooperative Contributions Program, Dairyland and its member cooperatives continuously strive to make a positive impact in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and community development.
