At its Tuesday meeting, City Council approved the authorization and execution of a contract for bridge rehabilitation.
Why it matters: The contract will fund the repair and rehabilitation of 17 bridges across the city in Council Districts 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 9.

After attracting multiple bids and careful evaluation, Gibson & Associates Inc. emerged as the recommended contractor due to its competitive bid and commitment to MWBE participation. The vendor was also the lowest bidder, with a bid of $942,626.10 and a proposed completion time of 210 calendar days.
What's next: Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and reach completion by winter 2023.
