Oppenheimer is proud to be a sponsor of the Winston-Salem Open, supporting the community and the Forsyth County middle school system athletic programs.

Gray Smith, Managing Director-Investments, Portfolio Manager, Omega Portfolio Management, joined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in 2014 as a Financial Advisor in the Winston-Salem office and is a proud Director of the Winston-Salem Open. Since 1970, Gray and fellow community members have channeled their love for the game, and for their community, by creating a number of tennis programs.

Since its inception in 2011, the Open has grown to become a renowned global event attracting the top players in the world. Drawing thousands of attendees into the city each year, this year's event will be held on August 21 - 28. The Winston-Salem open is an ATP event, serving as the final event of the US Open Series before the last major tournament of the year, the US Open.

Each year this tournament reminds me of the commitment of local community volunteers, clients and friends.

There are a number of corporate and local business sponsorships that contribute towards the success of the program. Oppenheimer is especially proud to be part of this event because of the commitment to support the youth athletic programs in cross country sports, and expanding tennis programs in the local Middle Schools.
