Audi S6 and S7 to bring sophisticated performance design and equipment enhancements for 2023 model year

HERNDON, VA., May 12, 2022 - Today, Audi of America announces a new Design Edition package available for the 2023 S6 and S7. In addition to the exclusive Arrow Gray body color and Liquid Chrome Dark exterior elements, the Design Edition package features 21" Audi Sport wheels finished in Platinum Gray, as well as Audi Sport interior accents. Customers will be able to order vehicles equipped with the new Design Edition package beginning in June 2022, available exclusively for the 2023 model year.

Liquid Dark Chrome exterior accents harmonize with full S6 and S7 color palate
The Design Edition package joins the 2023 S6 and S7 model line with a striking, high-end appearance that underlines the sophisticated form of both models. The Design Edition includes Liquid Dark Chrome exterior accents matched with a high-gloss Black optic package featuring Black Audi rings and badges that exhibit the artistic balance to support the distinction of the S6 and S7. In addition, a Brilliant Black painted roof along with Liquid Dark Chrome accents on the front and rear bumpers present a sophisticated classic undertone. The Liquid Chrome Dark exterior paint, available exclusively for the S6 and S7 Design Edition package, harmonizes wonderfully with the darkened Matrix-design LED headlights included in the Prestige trim level for S6 and S7 models. Customers may also select from a thoughtfully curated range of additional available colors, including Brilliant and Mythos Black Metallic, Daytona Gray Pearl Effect, Firmament Blue Metallic, Florett Silver Metallic, Glacier White Metallic, Tango Red Metallic, and Ultra Blue Metallic. The visual appeal of the Singleframe grille in matte black and the window surrounds in high-gloss black are amplified further through the vehicle's numerous accompanying black elements. The trim on the side window surrounds and Brilliant Black exterior mirror housings work in tandem to compliment the Design Editions' overall formidable appearance. The rear spoiler of the S6 Design Edition features a striking Brilliant black paint job. The Design Edition package also features front and rear red painted brake calipers, making for a bold splash of exterior color behind the dynamic Audi sport 21" 5-V-spoke structured design cast aluminum wheels on the S6, and 21" 5-V-spoke trapezoid design wheels on the S7, giving each model a distinct character. Drivers and passengers alike, are reminded of the vehicle's sport-oriented nature through a greeting from the Audi beam puddle lights showcasing the Audi "S" logo, projected from beneath the vehicle's doors and onto the ground whenever doors are opened.

Sporty interior design composition
The Design Edition package intensifies the 2023 S6 and S7's inherently sporty appearance incorporating an Audi Sport design interior with red stitching. The gear selector, lower console, and knee pads are now adorned in Dinamica - a breathable microfiber fabric that is made in part with sustainable polyester fibers offering a sporty feel and exquisite design finish. The Black S sport seats covered in Valcona leather pair wonderfully with the interior's dark ambience. The red contrast stitching on the center section of the seats, door armrests, knee pads, and the RS-style flat-bottom Alcantara-covered heated steering wheel further underscore the Design Edition package's dynamic character. For a final touch, the black safety belts feature matching red edges.

Powering forward with sophisticated performance
Brought to the U.S. market for the first time in the Audi S6 and S7 models, the electric powered compressor (EPC^®) system comes paired to the 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged, 444-horsepower TFSI V6 engine. The EPC system, which is available solely for the S6 and S7, comprises an electric motor with a small turbine that helps quickly build turbo boost pressure, sharpening throttle response and reducing any noticeable turbo "lag". When the V6 TFSI engine is operating at higher speeds, a valve for the EPC system closes, leaving a parallel path for air to move throughout the engine. However, the EPC system is always operating, even at idle, ready to respond to the driver's needs for increased power.

Design Edition models limited to one year
The Design Edition package will arrive as a $2,500 option, available exclusively for the 2023 S6 and S7 and available to order beginning in June 2022.
