Senator Hassan Visits Girls at Work’s New STEAM Program in Manchester

MANCHESTER - U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan yesterday visited Girls At Work, an organization dedicated to helping girls learn and develop self-confidence and new skills. While visiting their program space in Manchester, Senator Hassan discussed Girls at Work's goals with the organization's leadership team. Senator Hassan also met girls participating in Girls at Work's new STEAM program, which consists of workshops designed to teach girls about new topics related to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, as well as the After School Build program.

"Girls at Work is helping provide girls in Manchester with the opportunities that they need to grow and thrive," said Senator Hassan. "I was grateful to hear more about how Girls At Work is helping girls connect with each other, build confidence, and learn new skills, which will in turn encourage them to explore different career options."

In January 2023, Senator Hassan recognized Kaylee Richard, who is now Girls at Work's Program Director of Builders, as Granite Stater of the Month for her work organizing a career fair targeted toward young women in the Manchester School District.
