Notice of Upcoming Roadworks - Junction of Upper Newtownards Road and North Road, Belfast

NI Water plan to recommence work at the junction of Upper Newtownards Road and North Road, Belfast on the 27th and 28^th April to facilitate a sewer connection for a new housing development.

The Upper Newtownards Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. There be restricted access on North Road due to a partial lane closure. There will be no access to the Upper Newtownards Road from either side of North Road.

As this is a busy junction on one of the busiest roads in Belfast, it involves a complicated Traffic Management Plan to keep traffic moving while also allowing the work to proceed.

Access will be maintained for local residents and NI Water will do everything possible to keep disruption to a minimum; however, this might be required via diversion routes.

Good progress was made on NI Water's first visit last month and while it is hoped to complete the connection this weekend, there may still be a requirement for NI Water to work on future weekends.

NI Water fully appreciates the frustration and inconvenience this will cause and apologise for the inconvenience.
