The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with an investigation of an incident that occurred on a GO train.

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., police responded to a report of a medical call on board a GO train on the Lake Shore East Line between Union Station and Danforth Station.

It is reported that:

  • four youths between the ages of 14 to 16 years old, were on board a GO Train on the Lake Shore East Line (TrainTrip #9238)
  • the train was scheduled to leave Union Station on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:50 p.m.
  • while the train was in motion from Union Station to Danforth Station, three youths exited the coach area and climbed onto the roof of the train
  • one of the youths remained in the coach area
  • while on the roof of the train, one of the youths, a 15-year-old boy was seriously injured and transported to hospital
  • he remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services. Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators
