Committee Leaders’ Joint Statement on Aviation Accident in Alaska Aviation

Joint statement of Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO), Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA), Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX), and Aviation Subcommittee Ranking Member Steve Cohen (D-TN) following the discovery of plane wreckage near Nome, Alaska that matches the description of a missing Bering Air Cessna 208B:

"Our thoughts and condolences are with the victims of the apparent crash of Bering Air flight 445 and their loved ones. We are also thankful for the efforts of the first responders, including the brave members of the U.S. Coast Guard, who have been conducting the search for the aircraft in very difficult conditions."
