Dominion Energy North Carolina sponsors the Salvation Army's Heat Care Fund, an assistance program that helps individuals pay their heating bills.

The heating season will be warmer for those needing assistance paying their energy bills this winter thanks to the generous contributions from Dominion Energy customers and employees. This is the 40th year Dominion Energy has partnered with the Salvation Army through the company's Heat Care Fund to provide financial assistance during the heating season. Since 1982 we have disbursed over $4 million dollars to families in need across North Carolina.

"Many North Carolinians will struggle to stay warm this winter and though the Heat Care Fund those in need will feel the comfort and warmth of knowing that others care," said Rusty Harris, Vice President and General Manager of Dominion Energy's natural gas business in North Carolina. "We have doubled our contribution to our Heat Care Fund this year in recognition of our now 40-year partnership with the Salvation Army."

Each fall, Dominion Energy makes a contribution as well as matches contributions up to $20,000. Those needing assistance through the Heat Care Fund should contact their local Salvation Army office. All funds are administered by The Salvation Army and go directly to those in need.
