Support the Youth Scholarship Program at the annual Rockin’ Run & Roll 5K

Help support our local Youth Scholarship Program while starting your New Year right at the fifth annual Rockin' Run & Roll 5K and second annual Kids Fun Run, hosted by North Port Parks & Recreation! The race will start 8 a.m. at the Morgan Family Community Center on Jan. 14, 2023. The first 200 participants are guaranteed a finishers medal, bib and shirt. This inclusive event is open to everyone with the goal of getting people of all ages and abilities to participate and have fun. The flat, fast 3.1-mile race is well marked with water stations along the route.

The entry fee is only $25 through Jan. 13 and $30 on race day. All registrations must be completed online at RunSignUp.com/np5k. This event is open to all ages and abilities with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Youth Scholarship Fund. Packet pick up will be available Jan. 12 and Jan. 13, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Need some bling for your shelves? Awards will be presented immediately following the race to the top male finisher and top female finisher in the following categories; Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans. Age group awards will be given to the top male and female finishers. Additionally, there will be an award for team/organization with the most participants registered, and a new award presented this year to the Best Dressed Dog!

Kids Fun Run

Kids are invited to participate in a complimentary fun run from 10 - 11 a.m. the day of the race. The course will include obstacles, games, a dance party and a bounce house obstacle course! Participants can register for free at RunSignUp.com/np5k.

About the Youth Scholarship Program

A portion of the proceeds will help fund the Parks & Recreation Youth Scholarship program, which provides youth aged 17 years and under from income eligible families with exposure to positive recreational experiences that promote physical, mental and social well-being.
