Isle of Dogs assault - can you name this man

We are asking for the public's help to name this man after an unprovoked attack at a shop on the Isle of Dogs.

At around 21:50hrs on 3 November 2023 a man in his 60s was at Garden's Food and Wine in Manchester Road when he was knocked to the ground and assaulted.

The victim was treated at hospital for minor injuries.

We are treating this as racially motivated.

Officers were called and an investigation was launched. CCTV was recovered from the shop and we are now releasing an image of a man we would like to speak to.

PC Sean Wakem, from the local policing team in Tower Hamlets, said: "This was an unprovoked attack which has left the victim incredibly shaken. We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour and I'd ask anyone who recognises the man in the image to speak to us immediately."

Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 5159/04Nov.

Information can also be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
