“We will announce our new normalization calendar in the upcoming days”

Meeting with the youth during an online event, President Erdoğan said: 'We will announce in the upcoming days our new normalization calendar that will start as of May 17. Obviously, it will be one of the most important items that will be on the agenda of our next Cabinet meeting.'

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with the youth during an online iftar event and answered their questions.

'WE DRAW OUR STRENGTH FROM THE YOUTH'

Expressing his joy over coming together with the youth, President Erdoğan said: 'I attach great importance to coming together with the youth at every opportunity, chatting with and listening to them. Because we draw our strength and enthusiasm from the youth. Our youth has always led and been in the forefront of the struggle our nation has put up from the past to date. The leaders and heirs of the great and strong Turkey of the future will be the youth as well.'

Answering a question on the re-opening of the schools, President Erdoğan said: 'We will announce in the upcoming days our new normalization calendar that will start as of May 17. Obviously, it will be one of the most important items that will be on the agenda of our next Cabinet meeting. The re-opening of the schools will also be included in that calendar.'

'WE NOW PRODUCE THE AMMUNITION OF OUR UCAVs IN TURKEY'

Responding to a question on Turkey's National Technology Initiative, President Erdoğan underscored that one of the conditions of being a full sovereign state is to have an infrastructure that develops and produces technology, and noted added that Turkey now carries out significant exports in defense industry.

'We now produce the ammunition of our UCAVs in Turkey. That is to say, we do not depend on anyone to send us ammunition for our use. We now produce them ourselves. Let me be more precise, we produce their bombs and raid the lairs of terrorists in Cudi, Gabar, Tendürek and Bestler Dereler.'
