Heavy Traffic, Temporary Road Closures During Diocese of Orange Marian Days Event

From Friday, July 14, through Saturday, July 15, 2023, the second annual Marian Days event will take place at the Christ Cathedral, located at 13280 Chapman Avenue. During the two-day event, heavy traffic is anticipated in the immediate area. Motorists are asked to plan accordingly to avoid delays.

On Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., traffic on Chapman Avenue, from Grant Place to Lewis Street, will be reduced to one lane to allow for the Rosary Procession. Residents in the area should expect heavier traffic in the area.

The Garden Grove Police Department's Traffic Unit will be onsite during closure times to direct traffic and suggest alternate routes.

The Rosary Procession begins at 4:00 p.m., inside the Christ Cathedral Campus. The procession will travel east on Chapman Avenue, heading south on Lewis Street, before looping back into the Christ Cathedral Campus.
