China Southern Airlines to Launch More New Routes in 2024

At 11:47 am on April 1, China Southern Airlines Flight CZ6081 took off, marking the successful launch of its first flight from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Macao SAR. This year, China Southern Airlines plans to introduce more international routes, including those departing from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Tehran and Riyadh.

From April 1 to April 24, China Southern Airline flights from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Macao will operate three times per week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Starting from April 25, it will increase to once every day.

To date, China Southern Airlines has opened 13 direct routes, both international and regional, connecting Beijing Daxing International Airport to destinations such as London and Amsterdam. It will continue to expand its services, with future plans to launch routes from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Tehran and Riyadh. Currently, its international and regional flights have successfully resumed, operating at over 900 flights per week, approximately 80 percent of the pre-COVID levels. In addition to the new international routes at Beijing Daxing International Airport, China Southern Airlines has also announced plans for routes from Guangzhou to Doha, Shenzhen to Mexico City, and Shenzhen to Riyadh. These efforts aim to restore operations to 85 percent of the pre-COVID levels by the end of 2024.

It is reported that Beijing Daxing International Airport is expected to handle a passenger throughput of over 47 million this year, with that of international and regional passengers projected to reach four million.
