City of Valdosta and The Valdosta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Celebrate Successful Inaugural Day at the Capital of South Georgia

The Valdosta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly announces the success of its inaugural "Day at the Capital of South Georgia" event, held in collaboration with the City of Valdosta. The event, which took place on Monday, May 6, 2024, brought together community leaders, and citizens to engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration.

The highlight of the event was the compelling "State of the City" address delivered by Mayor Scott James Matheson, providing attendees with valuable insights into the current affairs and prospects of Valdosta. City Manager Richard Hardy and Assistant City Manager Catherine Ammons extended warm gratitude to the organization for choosing Valdosta as the venue for this landmark event, underscoring the city's commitment to fostering partnerships that benefit the community.
