Supervisor Mike Goodman Tours New EPCOR Wastewater Plant in San Tan Valley

For years, residents in San Tan Valley experienced almost third-world conditions under Johnson Utilities, including sewage flowing in the streets and low water pressure.

Soon after coming into office in 2017, District 2 Supervisor Mike Goodman fought a campaign, which eventually led to EPCOR taking over water utilities in the area.

Six years later, EPCOR is bringing online the new Copper Basin Wastewater Plant, which will replace the Section 11 facility, a lagoon-style wastewater plant known for its pungent odor.

Supervisor Goodman took a tour of the new state-of-the-art and odor-free facility.
