West Covina to host Centennial Toy Giveaway

The City of West Covina, Film It West Covina, and Humilde House of Charities will host a Centennial Toy Giveaway on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

The Toy Giveaway is a drive-through event and will take place at 1444 Garvey Avenue South, in the City of West Covina. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will feature live radio broadcasts from 97.9 La Raza and Mega 96.3. $100,000 worth of Mattel toys will be provided to children during the largest toy giveaway event in the San Gabriel Valley.

Through collaboration by Councilwoman Letty Lopez-Viado and Brian Gutierrez West Covina's Planning Commission Chair, the City of West Covina is partnering with Humilde House of Charities, Film It West Covina, Envision Motors, SBS Spanish Broadcasting, Mattel Toys, Singer Realty Group, Rancho Humilde Music Group. The event will also have special appearances by Natanel Cano, Alegres Del Barranco, DJ Eddie One, Chikilin, and El Terrible.

"We are honored that the City of West Covina was selected to host this event," said Centennial Mayor Rosario Diaz, "partnering on this toy giveaway will bring joy to the children of our community."

Individuals are asked to safely drive southbound on Sunset Avenue to access the Toy Giveaway. The que will open at 9:00 a.m. and can be entered from W. Garvey Avenue N. at Sunset Avenue. Children must be present in the car for this drive-through event in order to receive a toy. Walkups will be turned away. Toys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
