Zagreb, June 5, 2023 - An expert commission composed of representatives of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development, independent experts for sustainable development and representatives of INA selected 14 winning projects, and one additional project was selected by fans of INA's Facebook page. Selected projects as part of INA's jubilee 10th Green Belt will be implemented with the financial support of INA, in the total amount of 53,000 euros, and part of the projects will be realized with the help of INA's Volunteer Club.
INA's 10th competition for the Green Belt was open from April 22 to May 22 and applications were made via the website, through which 170 ideas were received. The winning projects were selected based on clearly defined criteria, the most important of which were sustainability, revitalization of land and water surfaces with the aim of preserving biodiversity, the fight against climate change and education.
The selected projects are:
"We are proud to have been helping the community with the realization of their projects for 10 years. Our Green Belt program has been recognized by many and in partnership we have so far realized 134 ecological projects and greened an area of 121,339 m². We look forward to new collaborations and welcome 15 new projects that will contribute to a greener environment", said Tamara Karagity, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing of INA.
INA's Green Belt program is included in the Global Report on Sustainable Development for 2018 as an example of good practice because it directly contributes to the preservation of life on Earth, one of the 17 Global Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
