Violinist Lindsey Stirling’s Nonprofit— The Upside Fund — Raises Over $300K In Recent Holiday Campaign and Eliminates Over $15 Million In Patient Medical Debt
Thursday, April 18th - The Upside Fund, founded in 2020 by violinist Lindsey Stirling, has raised over $300k in a recent holiday campaign and helped eliminate over $15 million in patient medical debt through strategic partnerships with nonprofits, including Undue Medical Debt, Dollar For, and more.

The Upside Fund's holiday gift to Undue Medical Debt eliminated over $7.5 million in debt, including two people who each owed over $100,000.Undue Medical Debt seeks to help families and individuals burdened by medical debt by acquiring and abolishing these debts, which in turn brings financial relief to families and reduces related stress.
Elsewhere, The Upside Fund's gift to Dollar For helped eliminate over $2 million in debt for people nationwide. Dollar For is a national nonprofit that crushes medical bills by helping patients access charity care, empowering patients, and advocating on their behalf.
Just at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Upside Fund helped raise over $200,000 to go directly to helping people with immediate medical bills, housing costs, and living expenses they were unable to cover. Since then, The Upside's Fund has spearheaded a number of holiday initiatives that have collectively generated over $300,000 in donations and continues to raise hundreds of thousands more to aid those in need.
The Upside Fund is a project of Community Partners, a nonprofit charity exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code and was created to help fund and advocate for causes aligned with Lindsey's values, passions, and pillars of service. Lindsey was moved to establish The Upside Fund after experiencing firsthand the financial strain of a family medical crisis, realizing the crippling burden medical expenses can place on individuals and families; grateful for her ability to manage the bills, she sought to assist those facing overwhelming financial challenges.
