In anticipation of increased traffic congestion and altered traffic patterns surrounding Ocean Center graduation activities, Votran will adjust several routes. Additionally, on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day, Votran will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.
Graduation Route Adjustments
During Daytona State College's graduation on May 14 and multiple high school graduations from May 21-26, buses that typically serve the Intermodal Transit Facility (ITF) on the ground floor of the Ocean Center Parking Garage will detour approximately two hours before each ceremony until the conclusion of service for the day.
Routes 1 and 19 will detour along A1A, both inbound and outbound. Route 8 will remain on Halifax Avenue for both inbound and outbound trips. There will be no service in the ITF during the detour period. Adjustment dates and times for these three routes will be:
Night Service, which begins at 7 p.m., for the three routes on the dates above, will depart from the Transfer Plaza on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard.
Memorial Day Service Adjustments
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, the following routes will operate on a regular Sunday schedule: 1, 3, 4, 10, 15, and 17. All other routes and services, including the New Smyrna Beach Flex and VoRide, will not operate. Limited Gold Service will be available in East Volusia.
Regular service for all routes and administrative functions will resume on Tuesday, May 28.
