Permanent Secretary disscusses witg Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand

Both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation in bilateral and multilateral areas, ranging from the expansion of trade and investment, people-to-people exchanges, education, connectivity, to religion. They also exchanged views on technical cooperation, including human capacity development and agriculture.

To celebrate the long-standing relations between Thailand and Nepal, both sides look forward to celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year through various activities, including exchanges of high-level visits and finalisation of agreements on potential areas of cooperation.

In addition, the Permanent Secretary also expressed appreciation for Nepal's support in regional and multilateral frameworks, particularly for Thailand's candidature to the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) for the term 2025-2027 and Thailand's chairmanship of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
