Mr. Otar Shamugia met with the representatives of the business sector of the Swiss Confederation.

The Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Mrs. Helene Budliger, led the delegation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Georgia's investment opportunities and prospects for deepening cooperation in the environmental protection area.

Mr. Otar Shamugia emphasized the importance of diplomatic and partnership relationships with Switzerland and underlined the country's favorable investments and business climate.

The minister emphasized the importance of the implemented and ongoing projects in collaboration with the Swiss Development Agency in the agricultural and environmental protection fields and thanked Mrs. Budliger for practical cooperation.

According to the Secretary of State of Switzerland, the existing friendly relations between the two countries are a solid foundation for deepening trade and economic relations.

The parties also discussed the importance of timely and effective fulfillment of obligations under the Paris Agreement.
The First Deputy Minister, Mrs. Nino Tandilashvili; Deputy Minister, Mr. Tengiz Nasaridze; Ambassador of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation, Mr. Revaz Lominadze; and Heads of relevant departments of the Ministry attended the meeting.
