Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Makes Introductory Visit to Singa..

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, General (GEN) Romeo Brawner Jr. called on Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Defence Mr Heng Chee How at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) this morning. During the call, SMS Heng and GEN Brawner reaffirmed the warm and friendly bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and the Philippines, and exchanged views on global developments.

GEN Brawner, who is in Singapore for an introductory visit from 17 to 18 April 2024, also called on Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral (VADM) Aaron Beng, after inspecting the Guard of Honour at MINDEF. He visited the Counter-Terrorism Information Facility and the ADMM Cybersecurity and Information Centre of Excellence at Changi Naval Base yesterday.

GEN Brawner's visit underscores the warm and friendly defence relations between Singapore and the Philippines. Both countries' armed forces interact regularly through visits, professional exchanges, multilateral meetings and exercises. These interactions have enhanced the professionalism and mutual understanding between the personnel from both armed forces.
