Nairobi County concludes workshop on submission of sector budget proposals for the FYs 2024/2025 – 2026/2027

Naivasha, 1st December, 2023

All Sector Working Groups and Sub Sector Technical Working groups submitted and defended their respective sector budget proposals in line with the guidelines on budget preparation by the office of the County Executive Committee Member for Finance and Economic Planning.

Speaking at the close of the workshop, County Director, Head of Budget and Expenditure Management, Nancy Kiruri appreciated all County Executives, Chief Officers and members of the sector working group for presenting their Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF). "This shows a lot of commitment towards the budget making process, which is quite important as it is geared toward internalizing and understanding the budget."

County Head of Treasury, Martha Wambugu, said, "This exercise informs your budget for the next financial year, so the focus should be on that to set your respective agenda."

Present were County Executives, Sector County Chief Officers, county directors, and County Budget Officers.
