BENNETT STA resident of Boston was issued an application for criminal complaint for OUI Drugs, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage, and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Cambridge Police were dispatched to a hotel for a report of a crash and a vehicle fleeing the scene. The front license plate of the suspect vehicle was left at the scene of the crash. Cambridge Emergency Communication notified surrounding police departments after the suspect vehicle was last on-scene on JFK Street. A Harvard University Police Officer spotted the vehicle fleeing on North Harvard Street and ultimately park in a gas station at North Harvard Street and Western Avenue. Cambridge Police responded and spoke with the operator of the motor vehicle admitted to operating the vehicle and believed she struck a telephone pole. She was unsteady on her feet, partially slurred her words, and showed numerous indicators of impairment during roadside assessments. Her operation of a motor vehicle greatly endangered the public by her lack of control of the vehicle, fleeing the crash scene, driving with extensive front-end damage (blocking vision of operator), and fluids leaking.
