TIPC Wins Big in Its First Year Entered in the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Award Program

Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) hit a home run on its first time up to bat, earning recognition as one of Taiwan's best employers in the Best Companies to Work For in Asia Taiwan 2023 awards program sponsored by HR Asia - Asia's long-running, highly respected publication for human-resources professionals. This award, given to TIPC in its first year as an applicant, recognizes the corporation's successful, long-term efforts to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.

HR Asia Best Companies to Work For in Asia Awards is one of the continent's most influential and largest human-resources-related award programs. Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) used to evaluate entrants brings in industry professionals to evaluate each from the three aspects of "core" (collective organisation for real engagement), "self" (heart, mind & soul), and "group" (think, feel & do). TIPC earned scores on each aspect that were well above the market average.

TIPC understands the crucial role played by its employees in building and sustaining business success and recognizes human resources as foundational to long-term corporate sustainability. TIPC keeps its employees and respect for its employees at the center of its operations through various communications channels, learning resources, anti-discrimination policies, and positive, proactive policy measures. Working continuously to ensure all staff are happy, safe, and part of the TIPC family is critical not only to maintaining TIPC's competitive edge but also to ensuring the full support and benefit of the entire TIPC organization.

With "treating employees as family" as its ultimate goal, TIPC has enacted a wide range of related measures. TIPC helps arrange transfers for employees needing to care for ill or in-need family members, allows employees with children three years old or younger to reduce their regular workday by one hour, provides cooperative educare service center, offers child-care counseling, provides fully paid family care leaves, and offers employee assistance program (EAP) counseling, all with the objective of helping employees balance their work and family responsibilities.

TIPC thanks HR Asia for recognizing its efforts and commits to continuing to provide its employees with a diverse, inclusive, and empowering work environment that will continue to drive success for both our business and our employee family.
