Grab your paddle and serve up fun at Fort Worth pickleball tournament

There's a reason so many players are getting hooked on pickleball - it's easy to start, but hard to stop.

Pickleball is fun, social and friendly. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game.

Tournament details: The Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department will host its first-ever pickleball tournament at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Haws Athletics Center, 600 Congress St.

Entry fee is $10 per team. There will be beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions for mixed-doubles play. The tournament is double elimination.
